We highly recommend purchasing dry yeast during the warmer months. While we offer a complimentary ice pack with all liquid yeast orders, the combination of warmer temperatures and shipping times makes it difficult for your liquid yeast to remain chilled.
Creamy and smooth, like so many of the East Coast Amber Ales. Amber colored with a nice malt to hops balance. Makes 5 gallons, or approximately 48 bottles of beer.
- Malt Base: 6 lbs Amber Liquid Malt Extract
- Speciality Grains: 1 lb Caramel 60L
- Hops: 2 oz Cascade (Bittering); .5 oz Willamette (Finishing)
great beer, first time using a keg and it turned out better then i thought
The body of this beer was good but just a bit too hop forward for my tastes. When brewing an amber, I was looking for a bit more maltiness. I'd probably simply not boil the hops as long next (50 min. boil - I'd probably tune it down to 30 to 35) time and add a little DME to kick up the OG. OG = 1.042 and FG 1.011.

Great tasting full bodied brew with just the right amount of creaminess to it. Great relaxing beer with smooth finish just like it states.
