We highly recommend purchasing dry yeast during the warmer months. While we offer a complimentary ice pack with all liquid yeast orders, the combination of warmer temperatures and shipping times makes it difficult for your liquid yeast to remain chilled.

Price Shock

Now they want $37.99 for the same box that I previously reviewed that cost $25.99 in September. Sorry folks I thought I was helping out here by recommending a kit and posting a nice picture of my brew. Instead it seems Brew & Grow has seen fit to punish anyone who buys it with a price gouge. I would add that I didn't use the flavoring hops in the kit, I had my own homegrown hops that made my batch extra special. I'm not going to buy this one again and have to downgrade it at this price. And no more reviews.

Thank you for your honest review. We certainly understand that a price increase like this can be shocking. We have held the line on price increases for over 7 years and we finally had to make some changes to reflect our increasing costs of product, freight, staff, and overhead. Our goal has always been to offer quality products and advice at fair prices to keep our doors open so our local community has a shop that they can actually go into to see and feel the products and get knowledgeable advice from staff who are committed to excellent service.

Solid

This was my first home brew. I cut short the bittering hops by 5 minutes and added 5 minutes on the flavoring hops. I also substituted 1 oz of my own freshly dried flavoring hops. It took 3 weeks in the bottles before I'd achieved proper carbonation. I'm pleased with the results though I don't have a strict recipe version to compare it to. It also had a beautiful color.

Excellent flavors

Rich and creamy, just like it states. Excellent mouth feel that lingers nicely. Would recommend for easy smooth drinking beer.
