We highly recommend purchasing dry yeast during the warmer months. While we offer a complimentary ice pack with all liquid yeast orders, the combination of warmer temperatures and shipping times makes it difficult for your liquid yeast to remain chilled.
The Black IPA is black to dark brown with a glorious brown thick head and a medium body to back it up. Hops pound on the palate, using Nugget for some spice, Centennial for a hint of pine, Citra for a bright citrusy punch, and Cascade for a hop hardiness of grapefruit. Top that all off with a bit of Mosaic and you can just imagine the complexity of this brew! Makes 5 gallons, or approximately 48 bottles of beer.
- Malt Base: 8 oz Munich 10L, 4 oz De-husked Carafa II, 6 lb Dark LME, 1 lb Dark DME
- Hops: 2 oz Nugget (Bittering); 1 oz Centennial, 1 oz Mosaic (Flavoring); 1 oz Citra (Aroma); 2 oz Cascade (Dry Hop)
- Adjuncts: 1 lb Extra Dark Candi Syrup
