Extract with Specialty Grains Homebrew Kit
This is an Apple Ale, NOT to be confused with Apple Cider by any means. We start off with pure malts, then add in a splash of hops, and finally finish it off with a full gallon of pure 100% apple juice NOT from concentrate!
Ready for a drink, let me give you the rundown. Pours out into the glass with an orange hue and a white frothy head. Hints of apple and malts tease the nose. As it hits the palate, flavors of light malts and apple battle to take over!
"Malts is better! They give you mouth feel and density." No...
"Apple is better! They give you clean crisp flavors!"
The battle goes on and on as I sip through the beer. Now I’m getting down to the last sip. Finishing clean with a small apple note still lingering lightly on the palate. Mmm yum! I’m ready for another one! Makes approximately 48 bottles
- Specialty Grains: 4 oz Munich 10L, 8 oz Carapils
- Fermentables: 6 lb Extra Light LME, 1 Gallon Apple Juice
- Hops: 1 oz Ahtanum (Bittering), .5 oz Ahtanum (Flavoring)
We highly recommend purchasing dry yeast during the warmer months. While we offer a complimentary ice pack with all liquid yeast orders, the combination of warmer temperatures and shipping times makes it difficult for your liquid yeast to remain chilled.
Like a juicy Apple, only it could use a little more Apple flavor, or maybe some cinnamon or use Apple cider. Crisp and smooth flavor and goes down smooth, I will try this one again with some changes. Still a good beer as is.
